Steamboat Falls...

I grew up there. We used to camp, swim and dig arrowheads there. No fishing though, it's a Steelhead and Salmon spawning ground. There's a fish ladder next to the falls so the fish can get upstream past the falls. In the evenings the fish try to jump the falls anyways. It's thier natural instinct. Stay up on the trail out of site and be patient. You will see the legendary N. Umpqua Steelhead come racing up stream and fly out of the water in an attempt to jump the falls. This area is on of the most beautiful places on earth.
